Flatts Woods has a wide variety of evergreen and deciduous trees which provide a natural habitat for a number of animal species.
The trees include 'The English Oak', 'Beech' and a variety of conifers.

Flowering woodland plants like Dog's Mercury, Wood Anemones and golden Lesser Celandines can be seen in season, as can Red Campion, Wood Sorrells and everyone's favorite, swathes of Bluebells.
